About the role
- Manage Residential Linear product categories including Wraps, Undercabinet, & Tapelight.
- Lead and drive planning, execution, and delivery of assigned Residential projects to meet timelines and budgets.
- Accelerate sales growth, product vitality, and margin improvements across assigned categories.
- Understand customer base, applications, and competitors to develop competitive solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Manage project expectations and provide timely escalation for product deviations to mitigate quality or supply risks.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders with timely updates on status and milestones.
- Collaborate with product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales for product launches.
- Present and provide product training for support teams, channel partners, and customers.
- Lead team adherence to product development system with phase gates, milestones, and deliverables.
- Apply basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to lead and challenge the team.
- Drive KPI compliance including phase gate compliance, productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, and sales growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
- MBA a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the lighting industry.
- Strong communicator and team player.
- Strong understanding of product development life cycle.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers (preferred).
- Direct knowledge of tapelight products, applications, and key competitors (preferred).
- Travel requirement: 1-20%.
