About the role

  • Manage Residential Linear product categories including Wraps, Undercabinet, & Tapelight.
  • Lead and drive planning, execution, and delivery of assigned Residential projects to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Accelerate sales growth, product vitality, and margin improvements across assigned categories.
  • Understand customer base, applications, and competitors to develop competitive solutions.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Manage project expectations and provide timely escalation for product deviations to mitigate quality or supply risks.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders with timely updates on status and milestones.
  • Collaborate with product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales for product launches.
  • Present and provide product training for support teams, channel partners, and customers.
  • Lead team adherence to product development system with phase gates, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Apply basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to lead and challenge the team.
  • Drive KPI compliance including phase gate compliance, productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, and sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the lighting industry.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycle.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers (preferred).
  • Direct knowledge of tapelight products, applications, and key competitors (preferred).
  • Travel requirement: 1-20%.
