About the role
- Performing on-site system startups, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and customer training for Acuity’s advanced lighting and control systems
- Managing project timelines while interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams throughout Acuity Brands
- Owning and delivering customer solutions, and helping to build customer loyalty
- Supporting lean activities and seeking continuous improvements with our Production Facilities
- Act as a subject matter expert during customer engagements and technical escalations
- Prepare detailed field reports following service calls
- Conduct on-site training sessions for customers on system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for product and process improvements
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a field service role with electrical and mechanical responsibilities
- Strong aptitude in electrical systems, control technologies, and schematic interpretation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus for international support.
