About the role

  • The Petroleum Sales Manager leads net-new business development efforts and aggressively grows our market share within the North American petroleum and convenience store channel. The Petroleum Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing business with new national petroleum chains, regional operators, and strategic channel partners. This role works remotely from the United States and travels based on business needs (50% - 70%). Driving New Business Acquisition by proactively identifying and pursuing new customers, accounts, and partnerships in the petroleum vertical. Building Strategic Relationships to develop and deepen relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts. Market Expansion & Channel Development by penetrating underserved regions and opening new sales territories. Sales Execution & Pipeline Management by managing a robust sales pipeline with a focus on delivering predictable, quarterly revenue performance. Voice of the Customer & Industry Insights to engage directly with end-users, contractors, and channel influencers to gather market intelligence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales growth or business development role within the lighting, electrical, or industrial sectors is required. Experience in the petroleum market is a strong plus. Proven success in building new business and consistently exceeding quota in a complex, solution-oriented sales environment is required. A strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels—ranging from the boardroom to the field is required. An entrepreneurial spirit characterized by a bias for action, creative problem-solving, and persistence in the face of obstacles is required. Demonstrated business acumen, negotiating and closing multimillion-dollar deals, is required. Availability to travel extensively (50–70%) to meet with prospects, partners, and key accounts across North America is required.
