About the role
- Achieve principals’ sales objectives, including volume and merchandising fundamentals at assigned customers
- Develop comprehensive Customer Business Plans aligned with principals’ priorities
- Call on decision-makers to present and sell business plans, programs, and concepts
- Manage manufacturers’ trade marketing funds and process direct shipments
- Oversee manufacturers’ expenditures and achieve results at the lowest selling cost
- Ensure competitive in-store presence through calls on headquarters, supervisors, and operations personnel
- Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on major retail initiatives and new product introductions
- Provide timely selling priorities and market/customer insights to team members and shared resources
- Utilize computer systems and technology to support the Customer Business Plan
- Provide feedback to leadership and complete special projects as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant industry
- At least six months of experience in retail (CPG), marketing, space management, or resets
- Preferred: Sales administration or finance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based applications
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Visual acuity and color perception
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel
- Good listening skills
- Ability to push/pull and carry up to 20 lbs
