About the role

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchandising representatives in your assigned district, who provide ongoing sales, training and merchandising execution services for various clients.
  • Also responsible for interviewing and hiring your team, managing all aspects of their training, scheduling and execution of visits, ensuring all reports are completed, and overseeing the team’s overall performance against goals.
  • Manage field performance outcomes and set individual and team performance objectives with a high level of accountability.
  • Must be able to analyze data and develop plans to achieve district and program results.
  • Regularly provide field insights and competitive intelligence to clients and field teams for your district.
  • Provide ongoing contact, coaching, mentoring and support, both individually and in groups, to ensure company results are achieved and exceeded across the district.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing business environment while proactively ensuring the field organization meets or exceeds client expectations — a strong desire to be the best.
  • Build strong relationships with store associates and managers through consistent, professional communication.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of management experience in retail, merchandising, training, sales and/or field marketing
  • Prior experience managing retail sales and merchandising in the grocery and mass merchandise sectors is highly preferred
  • Home office space with internet connection required
  • Strong computer skills for using the Internet, email, and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Natural ability to lead a team in a way that boosts team morale and achieves objectives
  • Outgoing, professional personality with the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Highly motivated, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while practicing ethical and professional business conduct
  • Inform the supervisor of field issues daily, such as red flags, representative disputes and program-related problems, using solution-focused communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Able to travel within and outside your territory as needed
  • When working in the field, wearing a mask is required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lb
