About the role

  • People Management of team (manage up and down)
  • Event Production – Technical show production and direction, live event production including planning, execution and wrap up
  • Vendor management, contracting and advancing on technical needs
  • Conference Production – Agenda planning, Speaker + Talent Booking, scriptwriting, presentation content strategy and design, AV vendor management
  • Registration management – you know the attendee journey in both live and virtual and can easily speak to and build a program with this in mind
  • Manage all Finances for a given client group or department. Responsible for Margin target delivery
  • People Development with focus on long term development
  • Effective time management (of self and others)
  • Client interaction is high. Professional communication with corporate audience
  • Weekly status updates on program results/personnel, client program reviews end/mid program

Requirements

  • You must love event production
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in conferences, tradeshows and large scale productions
  • Excellent client relationship skills with superior production – you’re not only able to lead a client status, you understand the minutia and can walk your client through a recommended floorplan, the registration software they should use and what their stage scenic should be with ease
  • Problem solving and solutions-based attitude. You have an incredible ability to sort out any potential issue. You never immediately say no
  • Proficient in floor planning software, understands basics of registration tools and can work across various systems
  • Strong business acumen – budgeting is something you have an affinity for
  • A management style that focuses on mentoring – you’re someone who loves to coach and set your team up for success
  • Ability to handle high stress situations and utilize problem solving techniques to find the best solutions
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal – this position has a high engagement with clients and vendors
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Use of a vehicle to attend client meetings or be on-site for event delivery
  • Flexibility – must be available to work flexible hours which will include evenings/and or weekends at times depending on the program you are assigned to
