Serve as IT Business Relationship Manager partnering with Molecular Diagnostics Manufacturing and Operations to fulfill application portfolio strategic objectives and business needs.
Ensure the full application portfolio enhances organizational strategy through consistent, predictable delivery of programs, projects, and applications.
Work directly with business clients to understand end-to-end business processes and translate needs into IT opportunities and investments to enable and standardize business processes where applicable.
Collaborate with IT delivery and support teams and business partners to align and integrate with overall business strategy.
Manage relationships with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution Logistics, and Plant Operations/Engineering business functions.
Build business cases and identify requirements to implement process and technology solutions.
Work with Corporate IT Plan/Build and Support organizations for implementation and support of technology investments.
Manage portfolio and tactical projects to improve business effectiveness and assist on larger cross-divisional/corporate projects.
Utilize knowledge of the software development lifecycle, the Abbott Shared Services model, and support resolution processes.
Assist the Molecular Diagnostics IT BRM Director with financial planning and project budgeting, tracking business-owned and supported applications for SLC compliance, and developing Long-Range-Plan for future IT investments.
Onsite work in Des Plaines, IL with occasional travel (~5%).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration or another discipline relevant to Information Technology or the Healthcare industry.
10-12 years of IT experience in large or midsized multinational Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Diagnostics, or other Health Care organization.
Successful track record and experience leading teams – both with direct and indirect responsibility.
Experience in setting IT strategy and business IT alignment.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Proven leadership skills, self-directed with strong work ethic.
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task across multiple programs successfully.
Successfully managed project portfolio with projects ranging from $1M-$10MM and / or operating budgets of $7MM to $12MM.
Proven experience and understanding of the complete software life cycle including privacy and security aspects.
Experience with vendor management.
Ability to collaborate with business leads, understand business strategy/processes, and identify innovative solutions.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically SAP (ideally S/4HANA), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and others (preferred).
Knowledgeable of Facilities, Utilities, and Equipment (FUE) and overall plant operations (preferred).
