About the role
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through completion across sustaining engineering, operations process optimization, quality improvements, and commercial and compliance readiness.
- Responsible for all aspects of project planning, cross-functional coordination, and progress reporting.
- Manage high priority strategic projects and report project health status to the PMO and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, issues, and changes; implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Direct and support technical activities such as design changes, technical reviews, verification and validation, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a medical device manufacturing, engineering, or quality-focused environment.
- PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with external suppliers.
- Effective stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of development processes consistent with ISO and FDA design control standards and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate information from Engineering, R&D, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
