Liaise with Commercial colleagues to understand demand requirements and the impact of events that will influence future demand
Determine proper inventory levels to be maintained for each SKU based upon appropriate planning factors (e.g. lead time, shelf life, variability in demand and supply)
Analyze inventory position and demand to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained
Create and process purchase orders for direct and indirect materials
Monitor and report supplier performance
Communicate purchase order status with Management and Stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of relevant professional experience OR 9 or more years of an equivalent combination of professional experience and education
Professional experience in supply chain or operations
Experience working with ERP applications (e.g., Sage, Great Plains, SAP, etc.)
General knowledge and application of procurement concepts, procedures, and practices
Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed
