About the role
- Driving profitable sales for the EMD business in the assigned territory of Ontario
- Developing, implementing, and executing effective territory business plans
- Prioritizing your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management
- Implementing promotions, and directives as set by division management
- Collaborating across other territories and within other 3M Divisions to meet customer needs
- Serving as a knowledge broker through delivering training and education to ensure customers and end users maximize product effectiveness
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of direct sales AND/OR electrical construction/industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, valid driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position
- Sales experience in the Electrical Construction and Electrical Industrial Markets
- Technical background – electrical or mechanical engineering an asset
- Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications
- Field/Channel sales experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels
- Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within their assigned territory
- Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Effective pipeline management
- Strong computer skills, database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com
