Engineer new charging system solutions and maintain existing ones
Perform end-to-end project planning and delivery
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
Deploy solutions in lab and production environments
Create the appropriate visibility of the relevant service KPI's
Quality control and assurance of offers and rate plans
Anticipate capacity and performance issues
Collaborate closely with other teams as well as with external partners
Contribute towards continuous improvement of the teams’ engineering standards and working methodologies
Lead end-to-end project deliveries on the Charging area
Manage scope, timeline, and quality of the technical streams.
Drive requirements gathering, use case definition, and ensure technical feasibility of the solution.
Coordinate with solution architects, network core experts, OSS/BSS teams, integrators and vendors.
Oversee impact analysis, configuration, testing, and deployment of charging/rating logic and integration with network elements (PCRF, DRA, OCS, etc.).
Ensure compatibility and seamless migration between versions.
Drive current system and network enhancements/optimizations/decommissions.
Manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies across system interfaces (e.g., IN, OCS, mediation).
Own and deliver area reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries to stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with best practices, change management, security and release control policies.
Requirements
Extensive engineering experience with Charging services and systems, from commercial and open-source solutions
Hands on operational and delivery experience with maintenance and implementation of solutions in live and lab environments
Expertise in mobile services charging (offline, online), using Diameter (Ro, Gy, Gx, Sy). Experience on one or more of these protocols is a plus: CAPv2, CAPv3, SIP, RADIUS, LDAP, and/or Web Service protocols
Expertise in Online Charging Systems and it's integration with Provisioning and Billing systems
Expertise in service design related with voice, messaging and data services (including policy and charging control)
Expertise in IMS architecture, especially with VoWiFi and VoLTE use cases
Previously integrated mobile services and solutions with offline and online charging systems
Experience in dedicated service solutions, data only, applicable to enterprise/corporate environments (M2M/IoT solutions and services)
Experience successfully designing and implementing Rating / Mediation solutions
Experience in troubleshooting issues related with signaling, provisioning or configuration
Good understanding on GSM, UMTS, LTE related technologies, systems, and protocols
Support of real-time charging and policy enforcement for latency-sensitive 5G use cases.
Previous experience in automation, test, delivery, solution design and capacity management
Having a degree in Telecom Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent is a big plus
Design and implementation of charging solutions aligned with 5G core network functions (e.g., SMF, AMF, PCF, CHF).
Configuration and management of Charging Function (CHF) in the Service-Based Architecture (SBA) environment of 5G.
Ensuring compliance with 3GPP 5G specifications, particularly for TS 32.255, 32.296, 32.290, 29.522, and others.
Definition of charging rules, data rating models, and tariff plans for new 5G services (eMBB, URLLC, mMTC).
Collaboration with policy control (PCF) and subscriber data management (UDM) teams to align charging strategies.
Contributions to open-source projects is a big plus
Experience with Network Functions Virtualization is a big plus
Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape is a big plus
English proficiency mandatory, other languages are a plus
