Product Analyst

• Capture and organize business requirements and stakeholder ideas received through the intake process into a backlog of product features, enhancements, and project initiatives.
• Lead requirements analysis by working closely with business stakeholders and development teams to identify and estimate feasibility, risks, dependencies, business impact, and resource needs for proposed technology solutions.
• Maintain prioritized product roadmaps created from the product backlog and perform release planning to meet technology vision and business strategy.
• Lead backlog grooming and deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, user stories, well-defined acceptance criteria, wireframe diagrams, process maps, etc.
• Participate in the delivery process through attending the necessary meetings, conducting pre-release testing, demonstrating new features for business stakeholders, and gathering stakeholder feedback.
• Develop functional application documentation & user guides.
• Support IT leadership to implement and incorporate new technology platforms into the digital portfolio.

Digital Product Analyst

• Analyzes product and portfolio P&L performance, identifies growth opportunities, assesses new product metrics, and evaluates initiatives to uncover issues.
• Provides strategic recommendations and implements improvements to drive profitable growth.
• Develops and enhances reports and tools which support better decision-making for our business partners.
• Become and act as subject matter expert in specific pet insurance contracts, products and rating structures, within the confines of the products they are assigned.
• Constructs, and works with, structured information and data sets from multiple sources to generate analytical insights, following best practices for data retrieval and ensuring data integrity across products.
• Conducts ad hoc analyses to address and resolve emerging business challenges.
• Supports the exploration and analysis of key data points to support on-going monitoring, maintenance, and underwriting of existing products.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders, such as Actuarial and Underwriting, to identify portfolio insights, emerging trends, and profit opportunities, enhancing performance and mitigating risk.
• Consults on portfolio strategy, through the lens of data and analytical trends.

• This position will focus on product data and business intelligence and will support a wide range of business initiatives including analytics, reporting, product filings and the development of new product capabilities in collaboration with various rating Platforms.
• The position will work closely with multiple business and IT areas including agency operations, the business intelligence community, representatives from individual business units and enterprise applications.
• Ability to work on complex problems / projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Support product management by delivering critical analytical insights; research, conduct high-quality analyses, reports, and communicate key product performance metrics.
• Research key business data using statistical analysis and data mining to understand historical patterns that can be utilized to improve business performance.
• Develops the programming of scalable and flexible data reporting and analysis solutions to fulfill the needs of the team.
• Monitors product performance/results in coordination with actuarial, loss analytic and performance analytics.
• Monitor the marketplace for emerging opportunities and identify competitor and industrial changes impacting the effectiveness of the current product offers and pricing position.
• Work with business stakeholders to provide technical and analytical leadership, controlling aspects of the development of project deliverables including cross-functional program management, data gathering and manipulation, analysis and modelling, and communication of insights and recommendations.
• Provides data mining, pattern and root cause analyses to help business units understand areas of untapped opportunity.
• Find areas of weakness and opportunity based on book performance.
• Formulates an analytic data-driven approach to address business questions around product, pricing, processes and/or underwriting rules to take advantage of opportunities and strengthen weaknesses.
• Works with product management and actuaries in developing and filing class, rate and / or form filings.
• Provide, create, and develop automated technical solutions to complex manually intensive processes via Microsoft tools.
• Provide guidance, collaboration, and execution of advanced data analysis.
• Enhance/maintain departmental data/databases.
• Participate in testing and QA work of various inputs to and outputs from the data warehouse and Business Intelligence application(s).

Senior Product Analyst

• Support product analysis by gathering and organizing data related to product performance, pricing, and underwriting trends.
• Assist with market research and help maintain competitive intelligence across insurance products and states.
• Help prepare presentations and reports to communicate findings to team members and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with actuarial and underwriting teams on updates to guidelines and pricing inputs.
• Track regulatory updates and assist the team in keeping product documentation aligned with compliance standards.
• Work within systems like Excel and SQL to run queries and manipulate data under guidance from senior analysts.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects to support product development and enhancements.
