About the role

  • Strategic further development of the Legal & Compliance organization for the DACH region and alignment of the group-wide compliance strategy
  • Operational legal support: handling complaints, terminations, contractual disputes, court proceedings, and management of external law firms
  • Responsibility for data protection including incident management, cooperation with data protection officers, and ensuring GDPR-compliant processes
  • Regulatory compliance with the Data Act, AI Act and other relevant EU/national requirements
  • Development and implementation of policies, internal controls as well as compliance and ESG training programs
  • Advising the executive management on legal matters, product development, sales and international activities
  • Stakeholder management with Finance, HR, IT/Security, Product Management and subsidiaries
  • Leadership of a small central team and coordination of external service providers and law firms

Requirements

  • Legal qualification: fully qualified lawyer (Second State Examination) or equivalent international qualification
  • 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in the tech/software sector, a commercial law firm, or a comparable role
  • Expertise: data protection law (GDPR), contract and IT law, EU regulation (Data Act, AI Act), ESG; ideally experience with ISO certifications
  • Business-fluent German and English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Demonstrable leadership experience and management of external partners
  • Willingness to travel within Europe
