About the role

  • Responsible for developing and implementing regional growth strategies in conjunction with product management to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Responsible for sales growth and market share gain opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Manage the sales effectiveness of the independent sales teams and ensure that the sales funnel remains on track to deliver to budget expectations.
  • Responsible for managing a US region of focus, developing and implementing a sales plan to grow the business.
  • Lead major selling situations and monitor on a monthly basis, all sales activity within their region (LA, AR, OK, MS).
  • Create and implement dynamic and forward-thinking channel go-to-market strategies within all diverse customer channels to achieve annual sales growth goals.
  • Achieve and exceed the forecasted sales target and profit margin.
  • Strategically develop, grow and evolve sales funnel for future growth.
  • Accountable for the success and effectiveness of the sales rep teams' performance within the region.
  • Delegate sales strategies and yearly targets, set up frequent review meetings and follow-ups to provide direction to rep network to effectively sell to the market channels and set the teams up for success.
  • Partner with rep principal(s) on staffing and personnel situations.
  • Develop regional forecast and countermeasures to ensure sales goals are kept on track for execution.
  • Drive accountability with individual sales reps, provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Consulted and influential in the performance management process of the regional reps.
  • Own key account and market channel management for customer leaders at regional level.
  • Develop and nurture key partnerships with Distribution and Contractors.
  • Maintain regional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process and sales funnel report-out.
  • Drive price management process at regional sales rep leader level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or equivalent field required
  • 10+ years of indirect sales management experience (channel partners, distributors, manufacturing representative agencies, etc..) managing a third-party rep network
  • 5+ more years of direct team management preferred
  • Experience in the manufacturing, construction, HVAC, plumbing & mechanical, or similar industry required
  • Ability to lead indirect sales team with influence and understanding that success through other people's performance is vital to the job.
  • Must have the ability to train and motivate a sales force, and develop and execute strategic and tactical action plans
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances
  • Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Uses compelling arguments and influence to gain the support and commitment of others
  • Ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and facilitate up and across
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce CRM preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned territory
  • Must reside near major airport in LA, AR, OK, MS. Lives in New Orleans preferred
