About the role
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and customers to drive business retention and acquisition
- Participate in sales team meetings and represent Zurich at industry events as needed
- Conduct market and competitor research to understand industry trends and emerging risks
- Lead the development and implementation of client engagement plans
- Analyze existing client portfolios, claims data, and product performance to identify growth opportunities
- Actively participate in risk selection, pricing, and deal structuring discussions
- Participate in underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business independently within delegated authority levels
- Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and product teams to deliver tailored, innovative solutions and outstanding client service
- Support the Underwriting team and manage underwriting submissions and annual reviews
- Support claims teams with coverage expertise and issue resolution
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading technical peers
- Proven expertise in underwriting highly complex risks
- Relevant education or professional experience in specialized lines (Surety, Financial Lines, Cyber, Construction)
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
- Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
