About the role
- Analyze and determine liability by gathering relevant facts and documents.
- Ensure to have a timely resolution to claims by developing case evaluation and strategy.
- Establish timely reserves and perform ongoing reviews throughout the claims cycle within your authority limits.
- Assess damages and negotiate settlement of claims by establishing an appropriate negotiation strategy.
- Contribute to profitable growth by providing risk insight, industry information and trends.
- Protect the organization's reputation by keeping claims information confidential.
- Understand the current industry trends and establish personal networks.
Requirements
- Minimum University Degree
- Cert CII / Cert CILA and must also be willing to work towards ACII
- 5 to 10 years’ experience handling or adjusting claims in a Commercial Insurance environment
- Ability to accurately document, gather facts, analyze evidence, and determine liability.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage terms, and exclusions.
- Skilled in developing negotiation strategies and settling claims effectively.
- Competence in developing case strategies, evaluations, and managing claim life cycles.
- Awareness of laws, regulations, and Zurich’s internal controls.
- Knowledge of claims vendor management and assigning counsel appropriately.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, networking, and professional society participation.
