About the role

  • You plan, organize and support PR events, press conferences, networking events, leadership conferences, company meetings and large-scale events with up to 3,500 attendees – from concept through to post-event follow-up.
  • At the same time, you take on central administrative tasks – including selecting, booking and managing service providers and event venues, as well as budget administration and controlling.
  • In this role, you monitor and document compliance with internal policies and are responsible for procuring materials and managing participants while always keeping corporate compliance requirements in mind.
  • With your expertise, you support the Head of Policy & Corporate Communications in day-to-day activities, particularly with travel and appointment planning.

Requirements

  • Strong multitasking skills and a proactive, structured and conscientious working style that ensures reliable, independent completion of tasks.
  • A strong "can-do" attitude — assertive, confident in negotiations, resilient and flexible in terms of working hours.
  • Confident use of MS Office 365, the Coupa ordering system and participant management systems.
  • A reliable network in the events industry with solid knowledge of venues and their particular requirements (ideally in the Cologne area).
  • Extensive event experience — from agency coordination to fire-safety and security requirements for large events.
  • Several years of relevant experience in event management and event organization.
  • Driving licence class B.
