About the role
- Plan, manage and deliver end‑to‑end execution of internal and external events
- Deliver high‑profile and complex events such as government announcements, vessel launches, and site tours
- Partner closely with the Communications team and other business units
- Establish event standards, playbooks and best practices
- Measure and report on event effectiveness
- Manage, coach and develop events staff
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging event formats
Requirements
- Post‑secondary degree in communications, public relations, event management, political science or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in event planning and management, including large‑scale, high‑profile or complex events
- Proven strategic thinking and project management skills
- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to anticipate issues, adapt quickly and remain composed during live events
- High degree of professionalism, discretion and sound judgment
- Flexibility to support events outside regular business hours
