About the role
- Support multiple engineering teams that drive full stack development of tools, systems, and applications
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries with Product Management, Design, UX Research, Marketing, and Partnerships
- Drive large programs to achieve organizational goals
- Manage complex, cross-functional technology initiatives at both tactical and strategic levels
- Maintain and report on program status, identify risks and gaps, and optimize delivery timelines
- Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, refine scope, and make trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs
- Engage leadership effectively and find paths forward in difficult situations
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration, cross-functional communication, and engineering efficiency
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software program management, including leading significant cross-functional projects in mid-size or large companies
- A first-hand solid understanding of current web development technologies
- Understanding of distributed architecture
- Knowledge of agile development methodology
- Mobile experience is a plus
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Able to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize tasks
- Strong business and technical vision and the ability to communicate that vision clearly
- Able to balance multiple contending priorities in a fast-paced environment
