About the role
- Senior AU Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance and financial reporting for Australian clients.
- Hybrid role requiring reporting in Ortigas; working schedule Mon–Fri 7am–4pm or 6am–3pm Manila time.
- Work on a wide portfolio of clients including individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies across various industry sectors.
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, ATO lodgements, work papers and reconciliations to financial statement stage.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business advisory projects (budgets, cashflows, management reporting).
- Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax and STP.
- Ensure documentation including work papers and client files are maintained and compliance with Australian tax regulations.
Requirements
- Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.
- Completed or working towards completion CA / CPA.
- At least 3 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within Australia.
- Thorough understanding of Australia and/or taxation legislation, including GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A.
- Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Experience with MYOB, Xero.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload.
- Collaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider business.
- Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics.
