About the role
- Own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for corporate services, including Workplace/Facilities and Legal categories, as well as intake, scoping, market analysis, RFP/RFQ execution, supplier selection, negotiation strategy, contracting support, and ongoing supplier management.
- Act as a trusted advisor, work to build strong relationships, translating business requirements into sourcing strategies, and guiding stakeholders through tradeoffs (cost, risk, timeline, service levels).
- Lead competitive bidding events (RFPs) and commercial negotiations for significant-spend projects (e.g., facilities services, design & construction support, workplace operations, food services, real estate-related services, legal services/vendors, and other G&A services as needed).
- Develop pricing and performance models (global rate cards, SLAs/KPIs, incentives/credits) that drive measurable outcomes and accountability.
- Deliver savings and value through cost-reduction initiatives (consolidation, re-bids, renegotiations, demand management, and process improvements), while ensuring continuity of critical operations.
- Partner closely with our legal team to support contract reviews and align on risk posture, commercial contract terms, and standardized templates/playbooks.
- Manage supplier performance through business reviews, scorecards, and issue resolution—ensuring quality delivery and continuous improvement.
- Leverage data, benchmarks, and market intelligence to stay current on industry trends, pricing norms, and supplier landscape changes; provide clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Use AI thoughtfully to improve sourcing outcomes—applying AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis and drafting, surface opportunities, and improve operating efficiency while maintaining appropriate governance and confidentiality.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience, ideally across Workplace/Facilities services and/or professional services (Legal a plus); strong preference for experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated success leading RFPs, complex negotiations, and supplier management, with a track record of savings, cost avoidance, and/or measurable value creation.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial contracting concepts (SOW/MSA structure, rate cards, SLAs, renewals, termination, liability/risk tradeoffs) and comfort partnering with Legal to move deals to signature.
- Strong analytical skills (Google Sheets/Excel); ability to build clear business cases and pricing comparisons.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities.
- Highly organized program manager with strong judgment, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- AI fluency and practical application: “default to automation” mindset, comfort using AI/automation to improve sourcing productivity and quality (e.g., spend analysis, supplier research, RFP drafting, summary synthesis, risk flagging), with the ability to validate outputs and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Familiarity with procurement end-to-end systems and contracting tools (e.g., Zip and/or other intake tools, Oracle or equivalent P2P, Ironclad or other CLM, supplier management systems) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
