About the role
- handling revenue recognition and daily billing operations for new and existing services
- significant cross-departmental collaboration with the Receivables, Sales Operations, Legal, and Finance teams daily
- driving change and contributing to automation initiatives of manual processes to produce consistent, timely and accurate invoices and reporting
- lead and support the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- prepare and record revenue-related journal entries based on detailed analysis of underlying transactions and supporting data
- reconcile sub-ledger activity to general ledger balances and investigate and resolve variances
- perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze income statement and budget-to-actual variances
- partner with internal and external auditors to support audits and ensure compliance with public company reporting requirements
- collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Financial Operations, Internal Audit, and Legal to support financial reporting and operational initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting or billing operations experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- Public accounting and/or U.S. technical accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting processes
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud and CRM platforms such as Salesforce a plus
