About the role
- Physical Validation Management for the development of steering systems and products.
- Lead role consisting of managing the validation and release for steering systems.
- Cross functional lead.
- Oversees inside the CDS Team “Simulation, physical component and system validation, NVH and prototyping”, product testing, simulation, data analysis, and preparation of test reports.
- Scope includes resource, budget planning, monitoring and control.
- Lead role is to manage inside the CDS team the full development, testing and validation of the system, in terms of advanced planning, tracking of validation progress of all aspects of the product/system, including mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and assure safe release of product.
- Overall responsible to consolidate test strategies and methods, plan and support their implementation (Validation Concept, Design Verification Plan, simulation and test).
- Reporting & escalation to project and program management is a key role.
- Evaluation of risk and manage problem solving.
- Work with cross functional team to execute programs and deliver to agreed schedule.
- Work with Project stakeholders to maintain program timing and overall system/customer requirements.
- Support customer communications relative to validation activities.
- Define and agree on project scope with customer and manage project to agreed scope.
- ZF technical lead for the customer regarding the overall testing and by this primary technical interface with ZF customers.
- Strong focus in rolling out lean validation and hybrid/virtual release methods.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous background on Test management / Project management / Project Coordination practices and experiences.
- Knowledge and experience in testing, data analysis, must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and motivating others, people oriented, taking ownership.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience/knowledge of engineering principles as related steering systems or mechatronic systems.
- Knowledge of automotive standards and automotive experience (ISO26262, A-Spice).
- ISTQB qualification (Certified Tester / Test Manager) is a plus.
- Excellent communications skills in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in dealing with customers, flexibility, teamwork and presentation skills.
