About the role

  • Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects—spanning automation, warehouse optimization, material flow innovation, and advanced storage solutions—to modernize plant operations
  • Own projects end-to-end, including quoting, vendor selection, specification development, equipment commissioning, validation, and operational handoff while maintaining timing, budget, and performance targets
  • Design and optimize material handling systems, storage strategies, ergonomic layouts, and PFEPs (Plan for Every Part) to improve flow, reduce waste, and enhance cost efficiency
  • Develop technical requirements, RFQs, cost justifications, and compliance documentation (TS 16949, ISO 14000), ensuring robust engineering and quality standards
  • Partner with external suppliers to refine concepts, ensure technical alignment, negotiate equipment needs, and support acceptance testing and post-launch optimization
  • Champion continuous improvement through Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, packaging innovation, and enhancements to returnable dunnage and logistics processes
  • Introduce new equipment and automation—managing delivery, installation, validation, documentation, training, and production readiness
  • Collaborate closely with plant leadership, engineering, planning, and logistics teams, providing technical insights and driving long-term improvements in daily operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4+ years relevant experience (other bachelor degrees may be considered in lieu of engineering with significant relevant experience)
  • 2+ years hands-on problem-solving experience with material flow or storage equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and CAD software
  • Strong decision-making abilities with a bias for action
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management prioritization and organizational skills
  • 2+ years Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years leading cross-functional teams
  • 2+ years quoting experience
  • Experience in plant layout design, quoting, cost analysis, budgeting, and blueprint interpretation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.
