About the role
- Manage complex U.S. and Canadian payroll accounting, tax filings, and reconciliation activities.
- Prepare payroll funding, accruals, and journal entries, including Fidelity 401K wires and postings in SAP.
- Perform payroll-related reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and P&L account reconciliations.
- Prepare and file U.S. and Canadian payroll tax filings, including quarterly and year-end forms (W-2, T4).
- Resolve payroll tax issues and agency notices, support audits and system updates.
- Coordinate vacation payouts, patent award payments, and various deductions.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll entries and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with USA, Canada Payroll tax and accounting
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and SAP
- Advanced knowledge in excel and MS office
- CPP certification preferred
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities
