Design, validate, verify and support certification of Electrical Power Distribution Systems (PDS) for aerospace applications
Work with voltage ranges from 28V up to 1500V and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Perform analysis and testing of power distribution components and systems to verify compliance with specifications and requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve PDS issues using diagnostic equipment and tools
Prepare and maintain PDS documentation, records, and reports for validation and verification
Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, technicians, and operators on PDS related matters
Contribute to technical review gates: Concept Readiness Review, Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review (CAA Panel discipline categories a, b, c, d)
Develop and analyse electrical loads across various aircraft states
Use software toolsets such as MATLAB and PLECS for PDS design and development
Collaborate with design teams, certification authorities, and other stakeholders
Requirements
Perform analysis and testing of power distribution components and systems to verify compliance with specifications and requirements
Strong working knowledge of electrical aviation standards i.e ED-332, AS7499 and DO-160
Troubleshoot and resolve PDS issues and problems using diagnostic equipment and tools
Prepare and maintain PDS documentation, records, and reports for validation and verification in accordance with the applicable procedures and regulations
Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers, technicians, and operators on PDS related matters
Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in PDS engineering
Contribute to technical review gates such as Concept Readiness Review, Preliminary Design Review & Critical Design Review (CAA Panel discipline 5 categories a), b), c) and d))
Develop and analyse electrical loads across various aircraft states
Proficiency in software and tools for PDS design and development
Proficient in using the toolset MATLab
Skilled in using the toolset PLECS
Collaborating with design teams, certification authorities, and other stakeholders
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or related field
Minimum 6 years of experience in Power Distribution design in the aviation industry
Knowledge of A/C regulations, standards, and guidelines such as [AMC 20-136], [AMC 20-158] and certification panels such as Panel 5 categories a), b) c) and d)
Strong understanding of power electronics used in equipment such Inverters and DCDC converts
Experience in PDS analysis, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
