About the role

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications for data persistence and transmission features.
  • Perform manual testing of data storage functionalities in databases and cloud-based environments, including AWS and FTP sites.
  • Validate the functionality of sending curve data to target systems via messaging and web services, including REST and SOAP protocols, using data formats such as JSON and XML.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing detailed reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Analyze test results, provide feedback on data quality and performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with data handling and security policies during testing procedures.
  • Stay current with new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of functional testing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Tester, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience testing database applications; familiarity with SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and testing related data management functionalities.
  • Proficiency in testing web services, including REST and SOAP, and working with data formats like JSON and XML.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
