About the role
- Assist project managers with planning, organizing, and coordinating ongoing initiatives
- Maintain project schedules, action logs, meeting notes, and progress dashboards
- Track project milestones and risks; highlight issues or delays to leadership
- Support cross-functional collaboration by ensuring clear communication and documentation
- Document current-state workflows using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Microsoft 365 applications
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to capture operational steps, handoffs, and dependencies
- Create standardized process documentation (SOPs, workflows, process maps, RACI charts)
- Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, or gaps in processes through data review and observation
- Analyze root causes and propose improvement opportunities for specific operational challenges
- Support the design of future-state processes based on Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles
- Pilot new workflows or tools and provide feedback to project leads
- Measure the outcomes of implemented improvements and track results over time
- Work on assigned business problems and provide structured problem statements, hypotheses, and solution recommendations
- Develop simple KPIs or progress indicators to track improvement success
- Present findings to project teams and leadership in a clear, actionable format
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and think critically
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, or other collaboration tools
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) preferred
- Exposure to process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus
- Interest in telecommunications, technology, or operations
- Ability to build dashboards or use basic data visualization tools
