About the role
- Build and deploy data products serving internal and external customers
- Develop scalable frameworks for deploying models and deriving actionable insights
- Analyze user behavior to identify drivers of discovery, activation, engagement, upgrades, and churn
- Collaborate with business teams to design, analyze, and interpret experiments
- Conduct proactive research on customer segments, success signals, risks and opportunities
- Perform ETL tasks to model dimensions and facts in the data warehouse
- Ensure teams can answer first-order questions; develop data literacy programs and tools
- Elevate data org with documentation, demos, tutorials, best practices, tooling, and mentorship
- Work with SQL, dbt, Databricks, Looker, Airflow, Eppo, and Python or R
Requirements
- Typically 7+ years in data science or related analytical role
- Production-grade Python (or R)
- High-quality SQL
- Design robust experiments and ML models
- Experience building scalable, reusable pipelines and analytical frameworks
- Business stakeholder management and communication with senior leaders
- Product thinking and building data products
- Experience with modern AI tools (LLMs, AutoML, orchestration frameworks)
- Strong data instrumentation and statistical rigor
- Experience defining KPIs, building self-serve dashboards, documentation, mentorship
- Familiarity with tools: SQL, dbt, Databricks, Looker, Airflow, Eppo, Python or R
- Authorized to work in chosen country without company sponsorship (Zapier does not sponsor visas)
- Remote work and strong written communication skills
