About the role

  • Provide expert-level database administration services for mission-critical Defense Business Systems supporting DLA Disposition Services
  • Manage databases across DISA, J64 TFS, and Azure GovCloud environments
  • Conduct quality control and auditing of databases
  • Advise users on access to various client/server databases
  • Research and analyze Database Management System (DBMS) software/patch/upgrade availability
  • Provide database backups and recoveries
  • Participate in all phases of COOP planning as needed
  • Administer application databases across DISA, J64 TFS and Azure GovCloud
  • Assist stakeholders in resolving issues/concerns/problems regarding database access and availability

Requirements

  • 10 years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
  • 10 years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems
  • Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases with Oracle, SSRS, and SQL Server
  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle database administration
  • Advanced PL/SQL and SQL Server skills
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with MS Access
  • Experience with DISA environments
  • Familiarity with J64 TFS and Azure GovCloud platforms
  • Understanding of database backup and recovery procedures
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Proficiency in data management, cleansing, and reporting
  • Knowledge of DoD/DLA processes, policies, and procedures
  • Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for documentation
