💰 $140,000 - $170,000 per year
About the role
- Manage a US-based team responsible for timely and accurate completion of international components of the US federal income tax return (approx. 75% of time)
- Lead international tax projects and provide international tax advice to business teams (approx. 25% of time)
- Supervise completion of international tax forms included in the US consolidated tax return (Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 1118, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, and relevant schedules)
- Oversee and review calculations for Subpart F, earnings and profits and foreign tax credits
- Oversee preparation and review of disclosure statements and elections related to international acquisitions, restructurings and tax planning
- Track other tax attributes for foreign subsidiaries, including PTEP and stock basis
- Ensure intercompany transactions are appropriately reflected on all US international tax filings
- Run and review the quarterly US international tax model and work with the US International Tax Director and income tax accounting team to meet quarterly deadlines
- File and track US entity classification elections
- Oversee quarterly updates to the legal entity organization chart
- Obtain US tax residency certificates
- Review legal agreements from a tax perspective
- Provide international tax advice and respond to international tax questions from the business in a timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of key international tax compliance processes
- Develop and train junior team members
- Assist with special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 10+ years tax experience with at least the last 3+ years of experience in US international compliance
- 3+ years in tax consulting
- Big 4 experience preferred
- Strong track record of working closely with various groups within a corporate structure (e.g. treasury, finance, operations, etc.)
- Strong track record of project management, problem solving, strategic thinking and effective business communication skills
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with HFM, JD Edwards, and OneSource Income Tax are desirable
- Preferred: Master’s degree
- Preferred: CPA certification
- Preferred: JD with LLM in Taxation
