About the role
- Serve as the legal interface with public entities, participating in hearings and sessions and advising internal teams to ensure actions comply with applicable legislation and tax regulations.
- Support the formalization of the company’s contractual relationships by drafting contract templates and response documents to public entities, ensuring adherence to compliance rules and mitigation of tax risks.
- Assist in negotiating third-party contracts by technically reviewing drafts and contributing to the mitigation of legal and tax risks, in alignment with the company’s internal policies.
- Draft responses to legal and tax inquiries, providing information and documents necessary for the company’s judicial and administrative actions, and coordinating with external law firms.
- Handle resolution of cases before public bodies, including tax matters, preparing and reviewing documents such as powers of attorney, unilateral terms, and related instruments.
- Continuously monitor tax legislative changes and recent jurisprudential developments to ensure compliance and advise internal areas on regulatory impacts.
- Manage the company’s trademark and patent registrations, mediate negotiations with clients and suppliers, and implement preventive measures to avoid unnecessary litigation.
- Draft and review contracts, powers of attorney, declarations, drafts and other documents related to the company’s legal and tax relationships, representing the company in lawsuits, hearings, proceedings, and trials.
- Provide preventive guidance to internal teams on tax impacts of operations and contracts, support the structuring of tax planning, and interpret tax rules to ensure legal certainty and tax efficiency.
- Support the management of administrative and judicial tax proceedings, prepare defenses and appeals, assist in managing tax liabilities, and participate in negotiations of debts with public authorities.
- Assist in implementing internal controls and corporate governance policies, ensuring traceability, contingency prevention and compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
- Support the legal department’s institutional communications by producing content and executive reports that reinforce the company’s image as a reference in compliance and legal responsibility; develop guidance materials and internal campaigns on legal and tax topics to promote a culture of prevention and compliance.
- Apply practices of responsible consumption and natural resource preservation in accordance with the company’s HSE policies, understanding environmental impacts and emergency response procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (required).
- Active membership in the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) — national registration required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.
