About the role
- Build and manage a principal gift ($250,000+) donor portfolio aligned to reaching the department’s annual $100 million goal
- Partner with the Vice President of Financial Development to build the individual donor portfolio for YUSA
- Lead discovery and engagement meetings with prospective funders
- Partner with a grant writer and project manager to build and submit funding proposals
- Collaborate with Financial Development operations and appropriate program staff to ensure grant awards are distributed accurately
- Update donor database regularly for accurate reporting and record keeping
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a relevant field such as Business, or related disciplines required
- Advanced degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience required
- Deep functional expertise and functional thought leadership
- Oversee multiple teams or functions
- Ownership of short to mid-term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction
- Internal and external communications, executive level, high influence on dept. and organization
- Minimal supervision from manager, manages an area or team leads within a function/department
