About the role

  • Design, implement and operate Yapily's Cloud Infrastructure
  • Join a small, growing team building cloud foundations for a regulated multi-national FinTech
  • Lay foundations for how the company deploys, stores, observes and operates services
  • Build new infrastructure capabilities to enable engineering teams to use cloud effectively
  • Provide golden-standard templates and automation to improve developer experience
  • Build and maintain infrastructure and code deployment flows and pipelines
  • Ensure infrastructure is cost-efficient for customers
  • Collaborate with engineering teams as part of DevOps culture
  • Participate in SRE on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability

Requirements

  • Experience building new infrastructure capabilities to enable engineering teams
  • Ability to build developer experience: templates and automation for safe, easy development
  • Experience building infrastructure and code deployment flows and pipelines
  • Ability to optimise cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency
  • Collaboration skills: DevOps culture and cross-team working
  • Participation in SRE on-call rotation
  • Cloud architecture experience with AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Automation skills using shell scripts and/or Python, Ruby, or Golang
  • Kubernetes orchestration: creating, operating, and supporting Kubernetes clusters
  • Infrastructure-as-Code skills: OpenTofu/Terraform, Packer or Ansible
  • Networking skills (desirable): BGP, VPC knowledge
  • Solid security understanding: secure-by-default infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Familiarity with regulated workflows: ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR (desirable)
  • Observability skills (desirable): Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana
  • CI/CD pipeline skills: building templates and guardrails for safe deployments
