About the role
- Operate and support water production and wastewater treatment systems
- Monitor and adjust systems based on water chemistry and operational data
- Work within dew point scheduling parameters to maintain optimal system performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment in field environments
- Perform light industrial maintenance (fixing small leaks, changing oil in pumps, equipment adjustments)
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain parts inventory
- Collect operational data and input information for tracking and reporting
- Compile operational data into customer-facing reports
- Utilize digital programs and data analysis tools to monitor and optimize performance
- Ensure continuous operation of systems while maintaining quality and quantity standards
- Identify and correct safety concerns
- Maintain a safe working environment and protect company property
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members as needed
- Provide professional customer service and maintain strong customer relationships
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of technical or operations experience required
- Water or wastewater treatment experience preferred
- Experience in water production, water chemistry, or process operations strongly preferred
- Industrial or light maintenance experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability
- Electrical and/or diesel experience is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who can work independently in the field
- Customer service experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
