About the role
- Supporting the installation, service and refurbishment of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, wastewater treatment plants and all associated components.
- Conducting analytical survey of control equipment, both electrical and physical.
- Isolating, dismantling and inspecting pumping equipment.
- Examining and reporting any defects regarding valves and pipework.
- Supplying details, measurements, and full descriptions of components that require replacement.
- Installing and commissioning supplied equipment and associated apparatus.
- Working as part of a team where health and safety demands.
- Carrying out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled.
- Lifting of access covers and pumping equipment using appropriate tools.
- Working in outdoor environment in different weather conditions.
- Driving a company vehicle to the standard required by Xylem.
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in either a mechanical or electrical discipline is preferred.
- For Electrically biased engineers a AM2 and/or a qualification up to C&G 2391 Test & Inspect would be highly advantageous.
