Assist with installation, cabling, labeling, documentation, and troubleshooting of physical equipment in a colocation environment
Support day-to-day operation of network and infrastructure environments
Help monitor, investigate, and resolve network, hardware, and connectivity issues
Work with senior engineers on troubleshooting packet loss, latency, routing, and equipment failures
Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and operational procedures
Assist with hardware shipments, vendor coordination, and equipment lifecycle tasks
Contribute to automation and process improvement where possible
Support maintenance work outside normal business hours as needed, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays

Requirements

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to thoroughly document implementations, modifications and removals
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network fundamentals
Exposure to troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump or Wireshark
Able to work independently, follow through on operational tasks, and learn quickly from experienced teammates
Exposure to concepts of automation and scripting languages (python)
Candidates with a CCNA, or who are actively working toward one, will stand out
