About the role

  • Prospect and generate leads: Identify and engage potential clients in the large group market.
  • Consult and advise brokers and clients: Work closely with brokers, business decision-makers, HR departments, and executives.
  • Develop and present proposals: Prepare comprehensive and customized health insurance proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales: Effectively negotiate plan rates, terms, and benefits with clients.
  • Build long-term relationships: Foster strong relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Industry and regulatory compliance: Remain current on market trends and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with underwriting and client service teams.
  • Meet sales goals: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, specifically in large group, self-funded health plans.
  • Deep understanding of large group health insurance products, self-funded plans, level-funded, fully insured plans, and ACA compliance for large employers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with experience selling to senior-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and communicate the benefits of various health plan options in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Active health insurance license (required or ability to obtain).
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently with a results-driven mindset, while also collaborating with internal teams.
