About the role
- Investigate and apply novel algorithms that combine audio signal processing and machine learning techniques
- Develop and implement algorithms by applying research, coding, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with other Sony Research teams and Sony Business Groups across the globe
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Master's/PhD course in a relevant field
- Solid understanding of general machine learning
- Knowledge of audio signal processing, deep learning architectures, and training/testing methodologies
- Experience in cleaning, manipulating, and analysing audio data
- Good Python coding skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Solid understanding of linguistics
- Familiarity with language models' operation
- Familiarity with linguistics applied to language models
- Knowledge of contemporary debates on LLMs, language, and meaning
- Record of relevant academic publications (preferred)
- Interest in music/audio (preferred)
- Must have a valid work permit for the country applying to
