About the role
- Direct strategic business plan processes, drive operational effectiveness, and provide performance governance for the business area to maximize achievement of operational and financial performance.
- Provide leadership and/or oversight on large, complex transformational projects and/or initiatives, facilitate resource planning, and partner with other functions to improve current processes and implement new processes.
- Lead key and critical projects on behalf of the area and serves as a liaison and represent organization with key business partners.
- Enhance performance of the business area by evaluating scorecard results and verifying that action plans are established and executed.
- Drive for completion of transformational objectives and ensure that the performance governance business tools are maintained.
- Communicate performance results to senior leadership to improve understanding of strategic objectives of business area.
- Provide direction and oversight on transformational projects and initiatives for the business area and/or function.
- Lead the establishment and execution of plans, including oversight of resource planning, to ensure successful completion.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee the design and implementation of change management strategies and plans in support of complex transformational programs.
- Lead business planning efforts, to include the creation of operating plans, baselines, and performance management considerations for the business area or function.
- Oversee the budget and forecasting process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- At least eight years of relevant operations experience, preferably in the utility industry.
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in strategy and planning development.
- Demonstrated experience in business and operational performance measures and scorecards.
- Experience in successfully managing projects and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in projects and change management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to meet business and financial objectives.
