About the role
- Advise one or more fraternity and sorority governing councils and support council leadership development, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness
- Provide individualized chapter coaching that fosters growth, accountability, recruitment/intake support, and risk-aware decision making
- Serve as a primary resource for chapters navigating policy interpretation, accountability practices, and organizational development
- Lead or co-lead intentional educational initiatives that promote student learning, leadership identity development, community engagement, values affirmation, and ethical decision-making
- Coordinate or support signature FSL educational experiences such as retreats, officer trainings, workshops, and ongoing learning series
- Support new member education and chapter officer transitions in alignment with best practices
- Partner with campus partners to provide risk management education, harm reduction strategy support, and resources that enhance safety and wellbeing
- Shape and implement strategies that foster meaningful student learning and engagement through programming and leadership opportunities
- Contribute to FSL assessment reporting, divisional reporting, and articulating outcomes for stakeholders
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Leadership Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in fraternity and sorority life, student leadership development, or closely related functional areas
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to advise student leaders and deliver educational programming
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and judgment skills
- Experience advising fraternity and sorority councils (preferred)
- Background in risk management education, harm reduction programming, or accountability support (preferred)
- Experience supervising graduate assistants or student staff (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to use assessment for program enhancement (preferred)
- Familiarity with national fraternity and sorority organizations and contemporary FSL challenges/opportunities (preferred)
