About the role
- Manage and cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Play an integral role in new business pitches, leading the effective on-boarding process for new clients.
- Develop sales programs and strategic plans designed to meet and exceed budgeted sales objectives.
- Focus on growing and developing existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Oversee mid-level accounts that are moderately complex in scope, coordinating with teams and internal departments for optimal delivery.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration.
- Analyze client and market trends, making informed recommendations to further business goals and client satisfaction.
- Ensure smooth coordination of client campaigns, marketing plans, and project delivery.
- Monitor account financials, including budgets and forecasts, to ensure profitability and adherence to goals.
- Address moderately complex issues and escalate more advanced problems to senior management.
- Maintain regular, effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders at all stages of client engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field required.
- Typically requires 2 to 4 years of direct experience in account management, client relations, or sales.
- Solid understanding of account management principles, sales strategies, and client onboarding practices.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Customer/client orientation and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Effective leadership, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.
- Strong account management, sales program development, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams.
