About the role

  • Develop educational content directed to healthcare providers, patients, or internal pharmaceutical teams
  • Create client-ready quality material that demonstrates keen attention to editorial, references, and annotation details
  • Plan, develop, and write materials as assigned, working under close supervision of senior scientific staff
  • Partner with creative services to develop highly visual and engaging materials that maintain scientific accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal team and provide onsite support at key client meetings or events
  • Participate in strategic planning and project meetings with internal and client teams as needed

Requirements

  • Advanced medical or scientific degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD) preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline with an applicable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Residency, fellowship and publication/writing experience or experience in medical or pharmaceutical field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years medical writing experience, preferably in a health care marketing or communications agency internship, preceptorship or equivalent.
  • Expert writing and editorial skills with a thorough knowledge of AMA style and medical terminology expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organizational and timeline prioritization skills; scheduling flexibility to accommodate work volumes and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience working in teams and consensus building across the organization
  • Experience working under limited supervision and recommending appropriate solutions for problems throughout the project lifecycle
  • Resourceful, and demonstrate good judgment and leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days monthly to be on-site with clients
