Conduct detailed life cycle assessments for products, materials, and processes. This will include modeling materials and processes found in the academic literature as well as engaging with companies that submit data through the MSI Contributor program.
Develop recommendations and methodologies for how the data we collect can be extended to service additional customer use cases around data interoperability.
Interpret LCA results to identify environmental hotspots and opportunities for improvement, including uncertainty analysis.
Stay current with evolving LCA methodologies, standards (ISO 14040/14044), and industry best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience conducting life cycle assessments with demonstrated experience conducting LCAs for apparel, textiles, or consumer goods.
Demonstrated proficiency with LCA modeling software (LCA For Experts preferred)
Strong understanding of Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ISO 14040/14044 standards, and LCA methodology
Experience translating academic research findings into practical modeling approaches
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
