About the role

  • Senior Counsel provides expert legal advice and guidance to various departments within the organization, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Senior Counsel drafts, reviews, negotiates, and manages a wide range of contracts and agreements to protect the organization's interests and mitigate legal risks.
  • Senior Counsel identifies potential legal risks associated with business operations and develops strategies to minimize exposure to litigation and regulatory issues.
  • Senior Counsel oversees the organization’s compliance with relevant laws and industry standards, conducting regular audits and implementing necessary policies and procedures.
  • Senior Counsel leads the legal team by providing mentorship and guidance to junior legal staff, fostering professional development and ensuring the effective functioning of the legal department.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
  • Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the relevant country and jurisdiction(s).
