About the role

  • The role is responsible for developing Operations Manuals, operating procedures, routine tasks, work instructions, and other operational support documentation for all systems associated with onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Actively support the Operations Team to ensure all Operations Readiness deliverables are completed in alignment with project schedules, scope, quality requirements, and budget.
  • Develop technical deliverables to support Operations Readiness and Hand‑Over, ensuring compliance with project, regulatory, and client requirements using approved templates and standards.
  • Support Operations Readiness planning and execution, ensuring documentation is available, approved, and aligned with commissioning, start‑up, and operational milestones.
  • Participate in Operations Readiness reviews (e.g., ORR, PSSR, readiness assessments) and address documentation gaps, action items, and close‑out activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on/practical operational experience within oil and gas, marine or petrochemical industries
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
  • Strong understanding of Operations, Maintenance, Commissioning & Start-up, and Facility Performance Testing practices (including Industry best practices and regulatory requirements related documentation need)
  • Ability to explain the functionality of Oil & Gas equipment
  • Competent in quickly reviewing detailed engineering drawings, like P&IDs, Cause & Effect, and Alarm Set Point registers – and its importance in creating Operations manuals & procedures
  • Hands-on experience in Operations, Maintenance, or Commissioning & Start-up is required
  • Strong Technical Writing Skills Experience is required
  • Understanding of Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Industry requirements
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Projects
