About the role
- Assures the quality and integrity of each project, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget.
- Provides continuity and consistency of construction management with quality assurance and reliable control.
- Responsible for management and execution of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client.
- Manages and controls construction cost and schedule.
- Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project.
- Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities for hardware, plant and equipment.
- Project site based supporting a capital project at a pharmaceutical/life sciences facility.
Requirements
- Currently authorized to work in USA without sponsorship from Wood
- Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field, and an appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Experience with Life Science projects is highly desirable.
- Strong preference for candidates in the area of Athens, GA.
- Proven experience in the management of office, onshore and/or offshore site construction and commissioning teams. Preference for EPCM experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing requirements to a wide range of client groups (internal and external)
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, or in a team environment, and provide leadership, support, direction, and consultation
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines
- Willingness to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data sets
- Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions
- Able to establish and maintain a positive and effective customer relationship, ensuring payment terms are met, and communicating any delays.
- Well organized, observant, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with timelines/targets.
