About the role
- Responsible for management and execution of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company’s operating policies and principles.
- Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project.
- Manages and controls construction cost and schedule.
- Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities for hardware, plant and equipment.
- Support capital projects at a pharmaceutical facility.
Requirements
- Currently authorized to work in USA without sponsorship from Wood
- Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field, and an appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Experience with Life Sciences is highly desirable.
- Strong preference for candidates in the area of Montgomery County, MD.
- Proven experience in the management of site construction and commissioning teams. Preference for EPCM experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel).
- Well-developed interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing requirements to a wide range of client groups (internal and external).
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, or in a team environment, and provide leadership, support, direction, and consultation.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data sets.
- Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions.
- Able to establish and maintain a positive and effective customer relationship, ensuring payment terms are met, and communicating any delays.
- Well organized, observant, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with timelines/targets.
