About the role

  • Responsible for the development of Process Control requirements for projects which includes: Control and Operating Philosophy, Cause and Effects charts, Process Control Narratives, HAZOP and general control requirements
  • Develop and update Process Control Technical work practices in line with industrial standards.
  • Be responsible for the co-ordination and progress of process control design for one or more projects, as assigned.
  • Liaise with Suppliers’ representatives and other departments on all matters relating to process control design for assigned projects.
  • Carryout Dynamic Simulation & surge Analysis Studies.
  • Provide technical support to sales activities.
  • Provide consultancy after contract award with Client in assessing or assisting in the definition of process control user requirements.
  • Provide support to control system factory acceptance test at supplier’s site.
  • Provide site assistance at start-up, with process control issues during commissioning and hand over to client.

Requirements

  • Chemical Engineering degree (minimum), (Chartered Engineer status is highly beneficial)
  • A good amount of experience within a contractor, operator, consultancy or other relevant organisation
  • A self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proof of work on approved technical investigation projects and computer programs
