About the role

  • Oversee all branch functions including service, parts, rental, and sales support to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize workflows, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery to maximize branch performance.
  • Manage branch P&L, monitor expenses, oversee pricing, and ensure profitability while maintaining service standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Corporate teams to align strategies and resolve challenges.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop technicians, support specialists, and branch personnel; set goals and foster accountability.
  • Lead training and development initiatives and provide hands-on technical guidance.
  • Act as the face of WMH for customer engagement, resolving concerns and driving retention.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and market expansion plans to grow market share and revenue.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, manage procurement, invoicing, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA), oversee facility and fleet maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics and prepare performance reports to drive improvements.
  • Perform physical tasks and lift equipment as required; work in warehouse and office environments.
  • Report to Karl Duffy and drive branch operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Preferred 7-10+ years of sales/service management experience in industrial equipment (preferred).
  • 5+ years of management & leadership experience (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience overseeing 2-6 direct reports and 10-15 technicians (preferred).
  • Extensive background in Material Handling, Parts, or Service Management (highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to manage branch operations, optimize workflows, and drive performance metrics.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and other applicable industry standards (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Windows-based systems, CRM systems, and operational management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel ~20% for demonstrations and customer visits.
  • Ability to lift and move items over 50 lbs and meet physical demands (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching).
  • Prior lift truck industry and territory sales experience (preferred).
